The first library opened in 1969, when Roger Williams College built a campus in Bristol. It was one of the original seven campus buildings. In 1991, a new 50,000 square foot library opened.
There are no restrictions on access, except that the collection can only be seen by prior appointment.

The records were generated by and pertain to the development and operation of the Library. The collection contains a variety of administrative files, photographs, circulation statistics and records, meeting agendas and minutes, policies, and reports, as well as files pertaining to the building program and construction of the new library in the 1990s.
