The collection consists of a note signed by John Mumford (it is unclear whether it is the father or son) claiming that some of his livestock was taken from his Newport farm, possibly by soldiers, while he was away at Conanicut Island in 1776. Also included is a list of the births and some death and marriages for members of John and Elizabeth (Perkins) Mumford’s family up until John Mumford’s death in 1796.
