Frances Hubbert (1894-1967) resided at 96 Pelham Street in Newport, Rhode Island, and worked as a librarian at the Redwood Library for many years.

The bulk of this collection is made up of letters sent to Frances Hubbert from 1936-1938 regarding her efforts to get Lady Winifred Fortescue’s (1888-1951) 1935 publication,
Also included are two invitations sent to Hubbert, one for the Breakers Ball on July 9, 1955, and the other for the Tiffany Ball held on July 13, 1957. Both of these balls were for the benefit of the Preservation Society of Newport County, Rhode Island.
