The Civil Pilot Training Program records are arranged in nine series and contain the records from the Brown University/Civil Aeronautics Administration program to provide flight training to undergraduate students while they pursue their regular academic study. Series I, Brown Civil Pilot Training Program, contains an overview of the program at Brown, as well as at other institutions. The series also includes a comprehensive list of student participants and training coordinators.
Series II through IX contain records from each session of the program, arranged chronologically from 1939 through the summer of 1942.
