| Acquisition: | In 1974, Kenneth Shey, a liaison between the Department of State and the Department of the Navy, and Edward S. Klapka, the last commanding officer of the Quonset Point base, arranged to have the collection donated to Providence College. Additional materials were bequeathed by Frederick A. Gilchrist in 1984 and by Everett Holman in 1985. |
