Biographical/Historical Note

Born June 3, 1912, in New York, Ingamar Marguerite Alven Ducey married Charles J. Ducey in 1932; they lived in New Haven, Connecticut. The couple had a daughter, Cathryn Annette Ducey (1935-2001), who was an English professor at Rhode Island College for thirty-five years. Ingamar died on February 28, 2003, in Providence, Rhode Island.

Acquisition: The collection was a donated either by C. Annette Ducey or Ingamar M. Alven Ducey prior to 2003.
Processing information: The collection was initially arranged and described prior to 2011. The collection was re-described and materials foldered in 2023 by Special Collections intern, Melissa Moniz, under the supervision of Digital Archivist and Special Collections Librarian, Veronica Denison.
