These records document the religious, administrative, and social activities of Emmanuel Church, Newport RI. Included are the act of incorporation, deeds, mortgages, document of consecration, programs for events in the Parish (chiefly the annual fete), annual and vestry meetings as well as of parish organizations. Office files, letters, financial reports, newsletters, photographs, and service bulletins. Documents were found among the records of Emmanuel that related with the Newport Convocation (now the Aquidneck Deanery) and Minister's Union; these were removed and processed as distinct collections. The bulk of the correspondence contained is that of Daniel Quinby Williams (rector from 1951-1976) Nine cu. feet of invoices 1980s-2000s and duplicate annual meeting were returned to Emmanuel Church.
