| Acquisition: | The Senatorial Papers of Claiborne Pell were gifted to the University of Rhode Island by Mrs. Nuala Pell in April 2012. The records were deposited to the University of Rhode Island in a series of transfers, 1974-2006. |
| Custodial history: | The records were kept in Senator Pell's Washington and Providence offices before being transferred to the University of Rhode Island. |
