Abstract:
Sarah Elizabeth Minchin Barker (also known as Sally Barker) was an actress and director whose career was highlighted by the work with The Players at the Talma Theatre and the Barker Playhouse Theatre. She was active in dramatic events at Pembroke, where she taught theatre. Her husband, Henry Ames Barker, 1861-1929 (Brown class of 1893) was a guiding influence and a director of the Players. He was the son of Mayor Harry Barker of Providence and active himself in the civic and cultural affairs of the city.

Rollo G. Silver (1909–1989) was an American book collector and historian of American printing, typography, and publishing as created by White people in the European printing tradition. With his wife, Alice, he created a major collection of books and manuscripts relating to Walt Whitman. Abstract:
The Henry Knox Thatcher papers consist of an oil painting of the U.S.S. Constellation, military memorabilia, and three journals and logs kept by Thatcher while on board several ships, including the U.S.S. Brandywine (1839-1841) and the U.S.S. Constellation (1862-1863). The journals reflect ship life, diversions on shore, the social and political climate of his time, and the duties of American ships in the Mediterranean during the early years of the Civil War.
