The papers (1962-1989) document the activities of the
Curators of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs, Diana L. Johnson (1969-1979) and
Deborah J. Johnson (1979-1988) plus Curator Maureen C. O'Brien
This is a collection of check stub books and papers
pertaining to Arthur B. Lisle and Martha B. Lisle. The bank books pertain to the
upkeep of the estate, the White Swan. Papers include Mr. Lisle’s correspondence as a
trust fund lawyer to Ms. Dorothy Sollers Fraser, bills, and rent collection
pertaining to the Lisle house. The Lisle house was bequeathed to RISD in 1967, after
the death of Mrs. Martha B. Lisle and was sold by RISD in 1992.
Typed research notes prepared by Nancy Love covering
the period between 1878 and 1952 are based on Elsie Bronson's manuscript ("RISD: A
Half-Century Record, 1878-1928," 1932) as well as catalogues, yearbooks,
correspondence, and corporate/administrative records. Narrative reports provide
information about the development of Departments, Divisions, and Administrative
offices, 1945-1950. The materials in this collection were gathered in preparation
for the RISD's 75th Anniversary.

Groton, MA property (1887-1934) and incorporation (1909/1929). Publications include
Endowment Campaign materials (1923-1925), course catalogs (1910-1945; incomplete),
and Annual Reports (1928-1931).
This collection holds Louise E. Marianetti's sketches and
drawings in portfolios as well as a large envelope with papers and a photo pertaining to
Everett Marshall, her husband. Also included is one drawing by another RISD graduate,
Rebecca Russell Greene.
