The collection contains video recordings and transcripts of an oral history given by Bernard LaFayette. The interviews were conducted by Prof. James Findlay at the University of Rhode Island over the course of ten recording sessions from 2002-2003.

The Black Lavender Experience (BLX) records contain the yearly master production books and many of the plays performed during each year's course. The course is described as an interdisciplinary approach to the study of plays that address the identities and issues of black gay men and lesbians and offers various perspectives from within and without the black gay and lesbian artistic communities. Also included are several dozen promotional posters and fliers. Focuses on analysis of unpublished titles. Also includes published works by Amiri Baraka, Bullins, Corbitt, Gibson, Shirlene Holmes, West, and Pomo Afro Homos.
James deBoer (Brown University, Class of 2005) served as the coordinator of the Rhode Island Disability Vote Project (RIDVP) from 2006-2008. This collection includes notes of the organization's daily activities between 2006 and 2008, annual conferences, meeting notes, planning notes, and a spreadsheet listing one-to-one calls and contacts.
