The Loren and Elizabeth Slater Anthony papers are a
collection of notebooks, class notes, and reports created during their enrollment at Rhode
Island School of Design, 1937-1942. The collection also includes samples of professional
graphic design work done after graduation, circa 1948.
This collections contains the records of noted composer Arthur Russell Custer. The bulk of the collection is made up of Custer's scores along with recordings and videos of performances of Custer's work.
Stephen W. Macomber was a portrait, still life, and landscape painter. The Bert Gallery (Providence, RI) created an inventory book of photographs of his paintings identified by title, medium, size, and indication if sold and at what price.
This collection was begun by Betty Vickery Williams (1931-1996) in 1974 and encompasses a portion of the material collected for research on the history of primarily western clothing fashions and accessories, tailoring and cutting, and documentation of commercial clothing patterns dating from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
