Abstract:: The John Nicholas Brown II papers span the lifetime of John Nicholas Brown from his birth in February 1900 to his death in October 1979. While the bulk of the collection dates from the period 1960-1979, there are important materials from nearly every portion of Brown's life. The collection is comprised of manuscripts, ledgers, notebooks, journals, photographs, postcards, pamphlets, film, artifacts, architectural plans, blueprints, and other similar materials.

Abstract:: The Intelligence and Technical archives are comprised of the records of the Naval War College Classified Library, which in the early years of the twentieth century, was called "The Archives." This record group is composed of three series. Series I is military and technical intelligence; series II, World War Attache reports; and series III, ONI translations of German Naval documents from the period 1933-1945. This record group is a research collection of material retained for permanent reference for Naval War College staff and students in the pursuit of their professional studies.

Formal title:: Mumia Abu-Jamal papers

Abstract:: This collection contains the personal and professional papers of Mumia Abu-Jamal, American political activist, journalist, and prisoner. Prior to his imprisonment, Abu-Jamal co-founded the Philadelphia Black Panther Party, served as president of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, and supported the MOVE organization as an activist and radio journalist. Since 1982, Abu-Jamal has maintained his innocence and fought his conviction for the 1981 murder of a Philadelphia police officer. Abu-Jamal was sentenced to death and is currently serving a life sentence without parole. Materials in the collection include personal and biographical information, artwork, prison life records, typed and handwritten writings, correspondence, print materials, 3-D objects, and legal materials, dating from 1900 – 2023 (bulk 1982 – 2023).
