The Brown University Graduate Council records comprise meeting minutes from both the Council and Executive Committee, as well as documentation of graduate programs, educational financing, and degrees conferred. Collection materials are arranged in rough chronological order and date from 1888 to 1999.

The Brown University Registrar's accounts consist of one series. The collection includes Steward accounts from 1826 to 1838; accounts of Lemuel H. Elliott, registrar, from 1858/1859 to 1861/1862 (arranged chronologically); Registrar financial accounts (1844-1864) and reports (1864-1882). The collection also contains "Charitable Account" and account of "Beneficiaries," from 1836 to 1843.
The John Buchan Papers contain approximately 150 items covering the years 1898-1958. Most of the collection contains letters written by John Buchan to W.M. Colles and Sir Henry Newbolt. A selection of 5 published works by John Buchan are included as well as photographs.
This collection is composed primarily of scenes in Newport, RI with some various images from the rest of the state. Included in this collection are some postcards from the donor, Edward Burke, to his daughter Emily, and his parents. Some of the postcards have been used for correspondence, but show no connection to Mr. Burke.
These papers focus on the life of Henry Burt, a noted settlement house worker who moved to Rhode Island in 1922 and continued his work for the greater good. The collection contains some of Burt's settlement house photographs, scrapbooks, and information pertaining to the Beecher Bible and Rifle Colony.
