The Museum Director's Exhibition files, 1948-1983, provide a varied and uneven source of information for exhibitions during this period. The records may document the exhibition and/or social events associated with an exhibition.
The Heinrich Schwarz papers document his personal and
professional correspondence, 1940-1953, while at the Rhode Island School of
Art and include records documenting the activities of employees before and
after his tenure, 1926-1942 and 1954-1970.
The records focus on acquisitions, gifts, and
researcher queries. With the exception of one file containing correspondence
(1961-1964) of Director David Giles Carter, the files include predominantly the
outgoing letters (1965-1967) of Zerner.
