Abstract:
Maribelle Cormack (1902-1984) was the published author of at least 20 books, director of the Roger Williams Museum of Natural History (1947-1972), and a lifelong educator. Her writing, fiction and non-fiction, reflects her interest in various subjects including astronomy, anthropology, history, and genealogy. Materials include manuscripts, correspondence, research materials, lectures, slides, photographs, and the writings of her father, Adam Cormack. This collection was acquired by Rhode Island College Special Collections between 1981 and 1983 as a gift from her brother Bruce L. Cormack. Several of Cormack's published works are also held by Special Collections but are not indexed in this finding aid. Please contact James P.
