Abstract:
This collection contains correspondence (letters, notes, note cards, postcards, off prints of literary reviews and publisher's announcements), photographs of the author, and typescript writings of short stories, poems, an academic essay, and a draft of the novel "Shamp of the city-solo" that Jaimy Gordon sent to and was collected by Laurence Eldredge and his wife, Betty Eldredge. Laurence Eldredge was a professor of English at Antioch College when Jaimy Gordon was and undergraduate at the college.

The Frieda Peycke Papers consist of personal correspondence (primarily with her pupil and friend, Frederick Gamble), printed commercially published sheet music and handwritten sheet music written by Frieda Peycke, recordings of Frieda Peycke performing some of her musical numbers, musical performance programs, promotional flyers, press clippings, articles authored by Frieda Peycke, photographs, and assorted biographical documents. Some of the material contains racist and offensive language.

The H. Adrian Smith papers (1752-1992) contain materials amassed over a lifetime of collecting magic-related materials and being involved in magic societies and magic performance. These materials include magic trick descriptions, playbills, posters, photographs of magicians and magic performances, publications, correspondence, and magic society materials. The collection also contains personal correspondence and photographs of Smith’s life in Providence, Rhode Island, and North Attleboro, Massachusetts with his wife Anna Fuller Smith.
