The collection consists of documentation, photographs, and memoribilia of Marine Colonel John V. Brennan (Providence College Class of ’59). The center piece of this collection are Brennan's oral histories of major figures and foreign affairs initiatives during his service as the Marine Corp military aide to President Richard Nixon and as his chief of staff during President Nixon's post-presidency years.

The Elms Collection is comprised of materials relating to the Berwind Family and their property, from 1807 until 1990. It includes images of the interior and exterior of the home from various points in its existence, as well as images showing various generations of the family. Also included is correspondence and printed materials related to both the running of the estate, and the sale of its contents in 1962.
The Green Animals Collection is comprised of materials relating to the Brayton Family, as well as the Estate’s house and gardens, spanning the period from 1870 until 1990. The collection includes images of the interior and exterior of the home from various points in its existence, as well as images showing various generations of the family.
The McCarthy/Bannon Family Collection consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence and ephemera related to the Bannon family of Mansfield, Massachusetts and the McCarthy family of Providence, Rhode Island. The majority of materials are related to Patrick Joseph McCarthy who served as mayor of Providence, Rhode Island from January 1907 to January 1909.
The John A. Notte Jr. records include correspondence, campaign-related papers, newspaper clippings and other records of John A. Notte Jr. over the course of his political career including his time as Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State and Governor.
