The Rosecliff Collection is comprised of materials relating to the social activities of the home’s various occupants, the interior decoration carried out by the multiple owners, and the home’s architecture. The documents cover the period from circa 1874 until 1990.
Rollo G. Silver (1909–89) was an American book collector and historian of American printing, typography, and publishing. With his wife, Alice, he created a major collection of books and manuscripts relating to Walt Whitman. This collection contains his correspondence, research on publishers and typographers, specimens of type and a miniature toy printing press.

The Breakers Collection is comprised of materials relating to the architecture of the home, as well as to its various occupants and their descendants. The collection spans a period from about 1877 until 1990. The collection includes images of the interior and exterior of the home from various points in its existence, as well as images, documents and correspondence related to the people whose lives were intertwined with the home.
The collection includes 197 black and white photographs of residential architecture and street views in Providence, Rhode Island taken by Lawrence E. Tilley in 1958. The photographs document the College Hill neighborhood.
