Series Articles with Loring Art
This series contains newspaper and magazine articles, event programs, and advertisements from which Paule Loring contributed cartoons, illustrations, and other art work. He provided cartoons and other illustrations for the Providence Sunday Journal and the Providence Evening Bulletin, for both of which he served as an editorial cartoonist. His work was also represented in such magazines as Yachting, Popular Boating, Motor Boating, Rhode Islander, and The Skipper. He also provided Illustrations for the programs of such events as the America’s Cup Yacht races and advertisements for magazines and other products. The illustrations are arranged chronologically by date of publication and identified by the most descriptive line of text accompanying the illustration

Abstract:
The Keddy papers contain correspondence, research notes on index cards, brochures, museum handbooks, photocopies of entire chapters from books being used for research, maps and other illustrations along with extensive drafts of a proposed 1000 plus page biography of Samuel de Champlain. Other material includes personal correspondence on topics as diverse as feminism, safe drinking water and theology, professional correspondence in Jane Keddy's capacity as the editor/owner of Parameter Press and a folder of correspondence with potential publishers of the Champlain manuscript.

Abstract:
The collection comprises 390 architectural drawings dating from 1844-1859 by Rhode Island architect Thomas Alexander Tefft (1826-1859). These include public buildings (churches, schools, libraries, hospitals) and private residences, in addition to towers, gates, monuments and gravestones. In some cases, there are various elevations, views, and floor plans for the same structure. While many of the structures Tefft designed still stand, some were never built, and many have been destroyed. Tefft was a graduate of Brown University (Class of 1851).
